When Twyla Betha was young, she was always thought of as “the pretty girl.” But what most people didn’t know about Twyla was that her outer beauty hid many feelings of self-doubt and fear.
Born and raised in a small town on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Twyla grew up searching for meaning and purpose through the things of the world. She did well in school, eventually earning a Master’s Degree in Engineering from UCLA, and as a young single woman she developed a highly successful career in corporate America.
Yet it wasn’t until Twyla began attending the church her future husband pastored that she began to understand that real success wasn’t found in a degree or a career. She began to embrace the truth that true success was found in a relationship with Jesus Christ, and that when you are born again, you are “born to succeed” in him!
After deciding to follow Christ, Twyla left her career in corporate America to fulfill her ministry calling of teaching. She and Mason Betha married, and since then Twyla has used her unique gifting of transparency and colorful expressions of life experiences to help people apply biblical principles to bring about real life-change.
In 2006 Twyla founded the Royal Girls Club, an organization that helps girls ages 13-18 “live life royally” by understanding who they are in Christ. To date the Royal Girls Club has facilitated the mentoring young women in cities across the United States.
Twyla is a dynamic speaker whose passion for Christ-like living is clearly evident to those who have the opportunity to sit under her teaching.
Twyla and Mason love helping men and women around the world become the “overcomers” they can be in Christ (1 John 5:4), and giving them the practical and biblical tools they need to succeed in every area of life. They have two young sons.
